Most cheats using negate velocity called "fast stop". This method not ideal way to do autostop but it works good. You can't do full stop in 1-2 ticks from full movement, so people done "predictive autostop" that predicts your eye pos in future ticks and making their cheat stop if this eye pos tracing any damage to other players.
