VMProtect Ultimate 3.5 (1265)

Hello,

I am trying my luck here to see if anyone can help me find a build of VMP (preferably 1265). It seems I have taken build 1272 from author but it's very bugged and he does not want to provide me a fix (even though I helped him fix it ...).

It is very sad that the author is using his customers like this, but I won't go into that right now.

Please share with me if you have a build earlier than 1272 but higher than in 1213.

In addition to help him fix bugs, I have helped him implement ideas and functionality. For example this thread: https://yougame.biz/threads/207500/

The method is coming from me ... ZwRaiseHardError () displays message box through CRSS.exe, I have provided functions and structures for this.

Right now I`m sick of VMP and I cannot stand the author's arrogance anymore.

I`m not sure if in 1271 the bug is present, there is a critical bug for .net protection that simply does not work on many Windows. It was about a string comparison error in the "new" function imports. Would you care to share? I can share 1272 the latest I have.

Unfortunately it is sad how he uses his customers to test and fix his products. He did the same with me, proposing to work together when I gave him improvements on anti-debug until he had his solution, then ignored.

I also let him debug 3/4 hours in customer's PC to fix this .net bug. He then promised to send me fix the next day, and the next day he simply said: "free updates period expired". (it literally expired a few days ago, but he ignored the fact that 1. I begged him 1 month to fix this and 2. I helped him fix it)

I`m certainly not going to pay him 199$ renewal for a completely reversed product, no actual updates since 1+ year and because he used me to improve his product.

I worked with VMP for years and I can safely say that VMP will never be a strong solution thanks to the developer's attitude. Also, the developer does not have the knowledge to completely re-write the software and fix

I strongly recommend Themida instead because it is 100 times better than VMP in every aspect possible (speed, protection, complexity, etc).

Reading your posts is crazy, I thought VMP was a "good" solution and now I know it's made from a PASTER that doesn't even know how to make a renamer. Great ?
And he wants so much money for it, that is hilarious ....


Maybe both of you can come up with a solution (would be great if it also protects .net) and I am happy to pay for it :-D

Unfortunately, it is true. I used it myself for years + I know everything about it. The actual VM engine is made by someone else and not him (because every time I asked by not introduce new VM engine there was no reply). There are many things to say, things I could say, but what is the point... his product is completely reversed and it's sad what amount of money he charges for it + he uses his customers as rats to test and fix his shit, then demand subscription to get the fix.

Regarding .NET, I have plans for this but time does not allow me right now to do this. Maybe with help, maybe... but I`m not a big .NET fan and right now I only use VMP for .NET projects that are not high end products.

Regarding Themida, what you are saying is practically impossible (please note that packing time does not matter at all). I`m telling you for sure because I`m using it for many different commercial products, including games.

VMP is MUCH slower at boot than Themida and overall runtime (of course it matters what kind of VM engine you use in Themida) and also breaks performance for many applications (for example VMP hooks NtProtectVirtualMemory() for the "memory protection" option - when I asked Ivan to fix/improve this he told me: "just turn the option off").

Trust me when I say VMP is nowhere near Themida's 3.x performance, security, features, and so on. Oreans also offer proper support, advice and the pricing is very decent.

Do you have an earlier build of VMP Ultimate that you could share? I need to fix my .NET problem that's been hanging for more than 1 month now...
